Itinerary

07:30 – Pick Up from Hotel (Labuan Bajo)

Meet your driver and guide at your hotel. Begin the scenic drive inland toward Ruteng, passing through green hills, rice terraces, and local villages.
Enjoy short photo stops along the way, including Lembor Valley, the largest rice field area in West Flores.

10:30 – Visit Cancar “Spider Web Rice Fields”

Stop at Cancar Village to see the unique Lingko Spider Web Rice Fields, a traditional Manggarai system of land division symbolizing unity and cooperation among clans.
Your guide will explain the cultural meaning behind this fascinating agricultural pattern.

11:30 – Drive to Liang Bua Cave

Continue the journey through the cool mountain region of Ruteng toward Liang Bua Village (approx. 45 minutes).
The road winds through coffee plantations and rural communities before reaching the cave entrance.

12:30 – Explore Liang Bua Cave

Arrive at Liang Bua Archaeological Site. Explore the massive limestone cave where archaeologists discovered the remains of Homo floresiensis.

The cave offers a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by lush forest and is an excellent spot for photos and quiet reflection.

13:30 – Lunch in Ruteng

14:30 – Short City Tour of Ruteng

If time allows, visit Ruteng Pu’u Village to see traditional Manggarai houses and stone altars, or stop by Ruteng Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Flores.

15:30 – Drive Back to Labuan Bajo

Depart from Ruteng and enjoy the scenic return drive to Labuan Bajo, with optional coffee or photo stops along the way.
