The 8 Days Flores Overland Tour is the ultimate journey to explore the untouched beauty and cultural richness of Flores Island. From the magical Kelimutu Three-Colored Lakes to the remote Wae Rebo Village, this adventure combines breathtaking landscapes, traditional villages, natural hot springs, pristine beaches, and unforgettable cultural encounters.

This overland trip can start from Ende or Maumere, depending on your flight schedule. Travel comfortably with a private car and an experienced local guide.

Day 1: Ende Airport – Moni (1.5 hours drive)

• Pick-up at Ende Airport, meet your local guide

• Scenic drive to Moni village with photo stops and optional lunch en route

• Check in at hotel or local homestay in Moni

• If time permits, visit the local market in Moni

• Dinner at local restaurant and overnight stay in Moni

Day 2: Moni – Kelimutu Sunrise – Blue Stone Beach – Riung (B)

• 04:00 AM drive to Kelimutu Volcano for sunrise and see the legendary Three-Colored Lakes

• Return to hotel for breakfast, then check out

• Long drive (approx. 5 hours) to Riung with stop at Blue Stone Beach for lunch & relaxation

• Arrive in Riung, check in at simple guesthouse/homestay

• Dinner at local restaurant (reservation recommended), overnight stay in Riung

Day 3: Riung 17 Islands Marine Park – Island Hopping (B/L)

• Depart by local wooden boat from Riung harbor

• Visit Flying Fox Island – watch thousands of bats hanging from mangrove trees

• Snorkeling at Tiga Island – enjoy colorful corals and fish in calm, clear waters

• Beach BBQ lunch prepared by the boat crew

• Afternoon snorkeling at Rutong Island

• Return to Riung, overnight stay

Day 4: Riung – So’a Hot Spring – Bajawa (B)

• Breakfast and check out from hotel

• Drive to Bajawa with stop at So’a Hot Spring for a relaxing natural soak

• Continue to Bajawa, check in at hotel

• Dinner at leisure, overnight stay in Bajawa

Day 5: Bajawa – Bena Village – Trek to Tololela – Malanage Hot Spring (B/L)

• Morning visit to Bena Traditional Village, a megalithic settlement of the Ngada tribe

• Soft trek (~1.5 hrs) through lush vegetation to Tololela Village, learn about local culture & traditions

• Lunch with the locals in a traditional house

• Afternoon soak at Malanage Hot Spring, where cold and hot rivers meet

• Return to Bajawa for overnight stay

Day 6: Bajawa – Aimere – Ruteng (B)

• Breakfast and check out

• Stop at Aimere Village to see traditional palm wine (arak/sopi) distillation

• Lunch in Borong town

• Continue drive to Ruteng, check in at hotel

• Overnight stay in Ruteng

Day 7: Ruteng – Wae Rebo Village (B/L/D)

• Breakfast and early drive (~3 hrs) to Denge Village, the starting point for Wae Rebo trek

• Soft trekking (~3 hrs uphill) through lush mountain scenery

• Warm welcome ceremony by Wae Rebo villagers

• Learn about their way of life, culture, and architecture of the iconic cone-shaped houses (Mbaru Niang)

• Dinner and overnight stay in a local guesthouse together with villagers & other travelers

Day 8: Wae Rebo – Labuan Bajo (B/L)

• Breakfast with locals, morning to explore and interact with villagers

• Trek down to Denge Village

• Drive to Labuan Bajo with a lunch stop in Lembor, famous for its vast rice fields

• Arrival in Labuan Bajo, drop off at hotel
